How I Got Involved in Letterpress Printing: Started working the week I graduated from high school (June 9, 1952 to be exact) at a new letterpress printed daily in my home town of West Lebanon, New Hampshire. Developed interest in hobby/commercial printing and acquired a Kelsey which I later traded for a brass armed Gordon. Did this for the four years I was in college (summers) and did not get serious about printing again until my wife and I bought the Silverton Standard and the Miner in 1976. Have been invloved in printing since then. Paper was sold in 1990.

Presses & Equipment: Multigraph, Baltimorian, 8x12 C&P (OS), 8x12 Gordon (as above), paper cutter, and a mixed bag of type in various style cases and stands.

Work History: Health insurance claims, New York and Chicago (1959-1975); Silverton Standard, (1975-1990); Commercial shop production manager, (1990-2003); Retired with too many projects since that time.

Other Interests/Hobbies: Antique Automobiles (working on a 1931 Chevrolet at this time)
