I am presently located in
Australia at Moss Vale NSW which is situated around 50 miles from the East Coast approximately 80 miles South of Sydney. I commenced
a letterpress printing business around 1972 in Wollongong which is situated 50 miles south of Sydney on the East coast.
My business
name was Premier Press and I made all general business stationary and cards. My business was started with hand set Monotype,
an old Heidelberg Platen (windmill) and a hand operated guillotine. I later updated with the addition of a Monotype Supercaster,
Composition Caster, Elrod, Ludlo and C4 Intertype casters plus all the other many extras required to operate efficiently. I
managed to purchase a massive quantity of Ludlo and Intertype mats.
However, around 1999 I re-located to Moss Vale and was forced
to close down the printing operation and put the machinery into storage. This has resulted in my pursuing one of my other occupations
of electronics and old radio restorations. I now trade as Hi-Tec Electronics.
After operating the printing business for around
30 years it has enabled me to be reasonably proficient at the trade. I would be pleased to assist anyone with printing trades
advise if I am able.
